Description
This pillow is made from cloth cut from old batik long cloths from the 1970’s collected in Central Javanese traditional markets. The batik is hand drawn using a tool called a canting that is like a wax pen. After the designs are drawn on the cloth with wax, it is immersed in the dye bath, then the wax is removed to reveal the intricate designs. Batik is an intangible heritage of Indonesia.
